Book Blogs

Besides the book review websites such as Teen Reads and Fantastic Fiction  there are also many book blog sites. Normally run by single people who are enthusiastic readers these can be a bit overwhelming in number.

To make it easy I am listing here just a few that are considered to be good.  You can always search the web for such sites yourself,  with searches like 'book blogs' or better still 'teen book blogs' or specific genres such as 'chick lit book blogs'.

A UK blog that brings book news straight from the publishers along with book reviews and author interviews. Although it covers all the genres this blog likes paranormal, fantasy and contemporary books.

This is the book blog of a sixteen year old British girl who has been blogging a bout her reading since the age of eleven. This makes her a very choice for 11-16 year old Bootham students to follow. She interestingly posts the Good Reads review by each book and then writes her own review underneath. There are an interesting selection of novel son here most of which I haven't heard of before so its a good place to discover something new and  authors have recommended her blog.

This site mainly reviews Young Adult fiction. It has a very interesting section called bookcase showcase, this is a look at the bookcases of various other bloggers and authors it includes well known YA authors such as Holly Smale and Annabel Pitcher and Phil Earle who have visited Bootham. There are photographs of the book cases and the author talks about some of the books and their personal stories about why they like them. Fascinating!
