Coca-cola is a despicable company. Their extensive list of moral outrages include:
Various disturbing health effects of the drink coca cola itself, such as dangerous levels of acidity and the potential for death in the event of overconsumption.
Their soft drinks in India can contain over 30 times the levels of pesticides that would be permitted in the European Union. Also, they have been blamed for water shortages in various poverty-stricken countries, simply to run their plants.
They were even operating in Nazi Germany and helped to keep them supplied with soft drinks despite a trade embargo!
However they are attempting to change, if not to actually become more ethical, then to be viewed as ethical in the public eye. They have done things such as producing documents about 'codes of business conduct' and other such malarkey, however whether anything will actually be done remains to be seen.
